Latest Cases - April 2016

It’s The Big One this week, folks. The Grand National…

I’ll be in touch with The Judge’s annual Grand National Winner Predictions later in the week. But there’s a smart move you need to make TODAY to avoid getting stung by the bookies…

Don’t fall for this Grand National scam…

The Grand National is no stranger to controversy. Last year the bookies’ ruthlessly slashed their odds before the start – resulting in a book of official Starting Prices (SP) that were criminally short.

So rule one is, when you’re filling in your Grand National bet slip on Saturday morning, DO NOT tick the box to ‘Accept the SP.’ Chances are you’ll be signing away a large chunk of betting value. Instead, make sure you opt to ‘Take the Price’ there and then.

That’s Saturday morning sorted.

Rule two is something you need to put into action TODAY

Get Free Bets and Enhanced Terms… BEFORE THE BOOKIES PULL THE PLUG

Take my word for it: the bookies see Grand National day as an open goal. They’re rubbing their hands with the thought of a procession of lemmings/ ‘newbies’ lining up to spend their hard-earned cash with them…

Because for the bookmaker, this Saturday is a chance to exploit the once-a-year punters who flock to betting shops and websites to have a flutter on the big race.

Bookies don’t expect these punters to hang around. Mrs Jones who opens a new account, deposits a fiver, has a go on the National and then never logs back on… is not the kind of customer the bookie is after.

Of course, said bookmaker will happily take yours, mine & Mrs Jones’ money. But here’s the thing – bookies WILL NOT give you a Free Bet welcome offer on Grand National day…

Come Saturday morning, bookies will take down, turn off and pull the plug from all their usual Free Bet… Enhanced Odds… Welcome Offer deals.

The bottom line is this. Grand National day is the worst day of the year to open a new bookie account.

But that doesn’t mean Grand National betting is always bad value. Far from it, in fact. There are stacks of offers available…

You just need to make sure you snap up the best deals now, before they get taken down…

As you can imagine, I spend a lot of time on bookies’ sites and on odds comparison pages – and my inbox is regularly bombarded with all the latest offers.

I’ve taken it upon myself to rifle through these and identify the best deal for you right now. Here are my findings…

Don’t miss out on your £25 Free Bet…

BetVictor is the place to be today. If you don’t have an account, get yourself one here and take advantage of their industry-best Grand National offers today:

  • £25 Free Bet for new customers – don’t expect to see this on Saturday morning!
  • Non Runner No Bet on Grand National ante post (pre race-day) market – a nice bit of insurance for any early fancies you have, with money back if your horse doesn’t take part in the race…
  • 6 places Each Way on the Grand National –a great offer considering some bookies are offering just 4 places…

Remember – you need to snap this up ASAP because deals like this will not be available come Saturday morning. Maybe not even tomorrow.

I’ll say it again. To get the best Grand National deal, act now. Because you won’t get any Free Bets or great value offers on the day of the race. You have been warned!

Take advantage of the best offer today…

  • And to make sure you get your £25 Free Bet, take note of the T’s & C’s here

With that taken care of, you can look forward to the big race on Saturday – safe in the knowledge that whoever wins the National, you won’t have been stung by the bookies. And that’s a small victory in itself.

P.S
I’ll be back on Thursday when I’ll be sharing my Grand National picks with you. And as this will be my last Grand National as The Judge, it’s sure to be an emotional occasion. Hankies (and betting slips) at the ready…

Until then,

Best wishes,

The Judge
